Analysis of Election 2009The biggest excuse of non voters in any election is that their votes do not count; however when we look closely at the election results it becomes amply that every vote counts and every time one feels lazy to go out and vote, just read this analysis. The lowest margin of voctory in these general elections was of 317, just these many votes ensured that Namo Narain of Indian National Congress won the election and Kirori Singh Bainsla was decleared the runners up in the Tonk Sawai Madhopur constituency in the state of Rajasthan in North India. Needless to say that the number of votes polled by the losing candidates(53%) were far more than the winner(47%). Look at the total votes polled for complete details.
These patterns makes this victory as lowest margin of victory for this general elections. It also proves a very valid point about going out there and voting. The victory margin was so thin that if one more residential colony/ students of one more college had gone and voted for the BJP candidate the result would have been completely different. In the end Joh Jeeta Wohi Sikandar!! |
